Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. It will stay vividly in your memory for many years after you and your spouse begin your new lives together. Because of this, great thought should go into how you plan your wedding. One idea that is both unique and inexpensive is personalized cocktail mixes. Personalized cocktail mixes will not only impress your guests, but give you and your spouse a special drink to bring back the memories of your special day.
With the wedding gifts taken care of, you and your guests will be able to relax, have fun, and enjoy your personalized cocktail mixes. Perhaps your daughter will be getting married soon or perhaps your son. Or perhaps you are in the increasingly lucrative business of planning weddings. Whatever the case, you know that putting on a successful wedding requires a great deal of planning and preparation, particularly if you are working with a limited budget.

A wedding is the most special and cherished event, among others, in the lives of a couple. It not only showcases the bond of love between the couple, but also affirms a lifelong commitment to each other. This is precisely, where selecting ideal wedding gifts becomes so important. Receiving an invitation to a wedding is an expression of the love and respect the bride and groom have for you and it is but natural that you give wedding gifts as a token of the love and friendship that you enjoy with them.
There are some important principles of etiquette which pertain to weddings, i.e., from the manner in which you respond to the invitation, to the rules of purchasing and giving wedding gifts. Knowing when it is appropriate to give a gift and when it is not, is one of the key rules in wedding gift guidelines. For example, you must purchase a gift if you have received an invitation to a wedding that you are most likely to attend. On the other hand, it would also be a good idea to mail wedding gifts, in the event that you cannot. In some instances, if you receive an invitation to a wedding after it has taken place, you may not be obliged to send a gift. A suitable congratulatory card will suffice, instead.

My parents always downplay their wedding anniversaries. They’ve been together for over 30 years but seldom exchange gifts. It’s not uncommon for both of them to forget their anniversary and only days later say, “Oh, by the way, happy anniversary for last week.” I don’t understand, I’ve always thought that wedding anniversaries are special events in the lives of married couples. Ideally, they testify to the endurance of love. They also provide opportunities to look back on your marriage and marvel at how far you’ve progressed as a couple, and the obstacles that you’ve overcome. They give you time to celebrate all of the good times that you’ve had and to look forward to the years ahead. I can’t help it, I’m an incurable romantic. Plus they’re a good excuse to throw one hell of a party.
Wedding anniversary gifts have long been associated with certain symbols and materials. Over time some of the traditional gifts have made way for more modern items, but they still serve to highlight milestones that are generally achieved year by year. Gifts for the first few years tend to symbolise endurance, commitment and growth. First year anniversary gifts, for example, include paper and clocks. Paper is supposed to symbolise strength, like the strength that comes from the interlocking threads from which paper is made. A clock is a testament to your dedication and commitment to the road ahead. Cotton, a second year gift, stands for durability and versatility.
